The Spirit of Giving
Greetings EsaRa!
I would like to know what you think about the time of our year we call Christmas. I enjoy the spirit that embodies this holiday and the celebration of a great man called Jesus, but I feel as do many people that this time has become very commercialized also. Please enlighten me with your perception of this time of year.
Many thanks,

Dear W:
Well, what can we say about Christmas? There are so many levels of activity and feelings and intent gathered in one space of time. As angels, how can we not love the positive aspect of seeing so many of our symbols being revered and sensing so many in the spirit of giving. We think that is the most important message of this time. Giving, because as you know it is your soul’s most complete JOY to give love, even if that may now appears as material things. This is a time of great remembrance, when so many take a moment to send a card or small gift to remind someone else that they are loved and thought of with great joy. We have a few suggestions, though.
How about extending this spirit of giving throughout the year instead of one brief concentrated moment in time? How about that Christmas gift list, we suggest you take the number on it– let’s say there are 24 people– and divide them up into a few every month. Then take the time each month to send a small token representing what they mean to you in this life’s journey.
And why not take that token from your own storehouse? Surely you all have plenty of “stuff” that you could share it, and wouldn’t that feel wonderful? Take it to another level, and once a month invite friends to come into your storehouse and pick out what they would enjoy having in their space for a while. After all, remember, it’s all just particles of God molded to look like what you want and enjoy. What fun you can have on this journey, if you learn to give, and learn that nothing is truly owned by anyone, as it is all just God expressing itself as you wish, and there is never, ever, ever a void.
Now as to some other issue around Christmas time, well, we went to Jeshua Ben Joseph and asked Him what He thought. He said that He never intended His birth to create such a phenomenal event and that most of the “story” was not even factual, but in the end that was okay with Him. He looks at the beauty and joy surrounding the children at this time, the love that brings families together at least once a year. By the way, He sends his blessing and love to you all, not only now but all-ways. There was this enigmatic smile on His face as we visited with Him, as if this whole thing was slightly amusing and yet not quite understood by Him.
So, yes, we know dear one, this time of year can bring out the best and worst in most. The hustle and bustle, the impatience, the frenzy of buying and doing, but then there is a brief, yes ever so brief moment when it is all done, and the sprit of Christ falls on most as they take a deep breath and remember what it was really all about. We send the angel s of remembrance to you all, so that you can embrace that feeling and extend it outward to everyone you meet, now and for all times.
Let’s take Christmas to a higher level and make the spirit a daily practice. Maybe if you all took the time to live that every day, the spirit of giving, then you would not be so frazzled trying to get it all compacted into one brief moment each year.
We are incomplete without your being,
-EsaRa
